Dating to the mid-1930's one thing for certain about these cards or premiums is that they were issued out of Uruguay. Issued on more of a thick paper stock than a card stock with a glossy front, my best guess is that these were issued with a tobacco product. Larger than a standard card measuring approximately 3-3/16" X 4-1/2".
Card number and star's name on front of card with studio logo in photo area. Backs have design with an eagle inside a circle, the only text being "Indresora Uruguaya S.A." in very small letters on back
Both front and backs come in color variations, with fronts tinted brown, green, and color and backs issued in blue, gray, and brown as shown in the following sample image:
