ABOUT THIS CARD AND THE SET IT COMES FROM:
Card # 8 Myrna Loy from an early to mid-1930's set of cards/premiums issued out of Uruguay. Issued on more of a thick paper stock than a card stock, glossy front, most likely issued with a tobacco product. Larger than a standard card measuring approximately 3-3/16" X 4-1/2". Card number and star's name on front of card with studio logo in photo area. Back has design with eagle in circle, the only text being "Indresora Uruguaya S.A." Both front and backs come in color variations, this card has a color-toned front, brown back.
Had previously been mounted at each of the four corners leaving a light diagonal impression near each of the corners. Grades G-VG or 3.5/10 with some wear around corners, several light spots of soiling/foxing on back. Note, card measures 3-3/16" X 4-1/2", may appear larger in this high res scan:
