MovieCardsForSale.com is owned by Cliff Aliperti of things-and-other-stuff.com.  Cliff has been involved with collectibles pretty much his entire life, quickly moving from flipping and swapping baseball cards, to setting up at card shows around Long Island by his early teens.  Cliff came to online selling in 2000: "I pretty much managed to completely avoid computers throughout my entire college life in the mid and late 90's.  I may have fibbed about that a little on the interview leading to my first real job, but thanks to my enthusiasm for learning to sell on eBay I actually managed to learn my way around the computer pretty quick."

It was an eBay purchase which led Cliff to the world of movie cards, collectibles and ephemera.  "I was buying several lots of baseball items from one of the bigger sports dealers on eBay and put a lowball bid out on a lot of old movie fan photos just to take advantage of combined shipping.  I fell in love and was soon absorbed with a brand new niche."  Cliff has cataloged many of the movie cards and collectibles that have moved in and out of things-and-other-stuff since early 2002 on his things-and-other-stuff.com site.  While things-and-other-stuff.com is intended to cater to the serious and experienced collector of items such as those found on this site, in late 2008 Cliff launched the VintageMeld in hopes of attracting new collectors.

Cliff's goal for the immediate future is to move the bulk of his stock off of eBay to allow better deals and promotions for his customers on MovieCardsForSale.com and adding moving images of his own to the largely static pages he's dedicated to the world of collecting over the past several years.  Following is a recent video featuring Cliff Aliperti as he talks about the various 1929 Kashin Motion Picture Stars boxed sets of photo cards:
